WE'VE MET LOCALS WHO HAVE SPECIFIC VISIONS

FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES, BUT DON'T HAVE THE

NECESSARY RESOURCES TO FULFILL THEIR VISION

WE PARTNER WITH AND EMPOWER THESE LOCALS

TO FULFILL THEIR VISIONS FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES.

Mary began her journey with Jesus at a young age, and has always had a deep love for the Lord and passion to serve Him. God has blessed this sweet woman with many gifts! She is a registered nurse, a community leader, a wife and mother of four sons, a grandmother and, of course, the founder and director of Springs of Hope. This home (and Mary) has provided many children with constant love, shelter, medical treatment and education over the years. It has been such a privilege to partner with Mary to provide sponsors for these children. Likewise, it has been a true blessing coming alongside Mary in praying for a bright and wonderful future for the children God has placed in her care.

Springs of Hope aims to restore hope to orphans and vulnerable children through a comprehensive and compassionate approach that enhances the survival and development of each child into responsible adulthood. Springs of Hope admits boys and girls between the ages of infancy to four years who have been orphaned, abandoned, abused, and neglected. Since Mary Musyoka founded the home, more than 89 children have been referred from local police stations, hospitals, and residents of Machakos.

After nurturing, loving, and protecting the children placed in her care, Mary networks with local officials and families to place each child into a foster or adoptive home. Through the adoptive process, Mary and Springs of Hope work to empower the children and families in the Machakos area and create long-term change in the local community.

Serve for Hope - Uganda

Ronnie

Since meeting some of the Venture Corps team during a trip to Uganda in 2008, Ronnie Matovu has stepped into the role of Venture Corps’ East African representative. Apart from working and taking care of numerous Ugandan children around the Kampala area, Ronnie dedicates his prayers and time toward encouraging and regularly meeting with our partners in Uganda and Kenya. Ronnie desires to serve Jesus in all of his endeavors and share the goodness of Christ with those who don’t know Him. His vision is to give hope to the hopeless, share with the needy, and minister to the suffering, in Jesus’ name.
